Standard Wheelchair How Do You Modify A Standard Wheelchair For Off-road Travel?

How do you modify a standard wheelchair for off-road travel? - standard wheelchair

I have a double amputation and will be a while until I can settle in another leg. In the meantime, I want to stay at a good time (at least). Sitting alone in the house is not my cup of tea. The solid smooth tires on this chair are not feasible in the grass or gravel, ND I have no one for the hard part, I prefer it that way, but it still has some traction knobby tires.

Manual chair? In general, you can use a bike shop or someone like your back tires are on solid air with a good profile, but the trick is that you should get wheels gray and not black. If you have your tires is no hole in the upper air, you can install new tires.

You can find the parts you need http://www.ocelco.com.

Front tires must change likely. Do not worry about the tires, but at least if we can go.

Other small things ...
- Try to ensure that its priority will be distributed directly over the rear axle weight of more "float" in difficult terrain
- Make sure your brakes adjusted to fit the new tires
- Check your anti-tips. Make sure you, they go very high, and if not, I have everything they see. Throwing a rough bottom can easily
- Make a backup rate equipment, cell phone, perhaps even a small air horn.

As a person I saw (home care provider) and changed its batteries in a larger size and increased its power, then you only have different tires and it should go ... This person was responsible for the speed and has been in this thing is, it was more ... I could not believe how quickly moved this chair ...
